We had a fantastic time at mom's house for Easter. Kiernan had been complaining that his stomach hurt earlier in day and didn't eat dinner that afternoon. When we started getting ready for bed the stomach cramping began. Poor guy spent the entire evening on the floor bent over a bowl throwing up and crying. Every 1 1/2-2 hours he woke up crying with bad stomach cramps and throwing up. Mike took him to the doctor's the next day and he said, "Looks like stomach flu." He was already starting to feel better by the time they got home and when I got home from work he felt like himself. But then it was time to get ready for bed and the stomach cramps started again. And he spent last night crying and bent over a bowl. That's not stomach flu! So we're now exploring something called H. Pylori which is a bacteria that causes ulcers in your stomach (Mike gets it occasionally). It is more prevelent in the evening when the stomach is empty. Mike picked him up some Zantac 75 this morning. An 8 year old on ulcer medication--Sheesh! He's just now starting to feel kind of bad again but now the intense stomach cramping like the past few nights. So we sit and wait to see what happens next. I am soooo sleepy!

Late last fall, I had a really bad cold that lingered for quite awhile. There was a lot of pressure in my sinuses and it felt like my right eye would move when I went to blow my nose. It was really grossing me out so I went to my regular doctor and my eye doctor. The eye doctor gave me some antibiotic eye drops that really didn’t do anything. It’s come and gone throughout the year depending on if I’m stuffy or not yadda yadda. On occasion I’ve noticed that if I blow my nose hard enough there is a bubbling effect in my right eye. Eww! But now it’s official, I can now blow air through the corner of my right eye. ACK! I think that once I get over my disgust I’ll try and swallow some milk and see if I can get it to squirt through the passageway. I don’t know when that will be but I’ll keep you in the loop.
